EASY TO FIT
The KEN LOWE Hotstart is very compact and can be secured in any convenient place under bonnet using three small self tapping screws provided to attach the appliance to the vehicle presswork (e.g. body or chassis). Mounting plates are supplied to ensure easy fitting in any vehicle - see diagrams. KENLOWE Hotstart is supplied with heater hose, connectors and hose clips to enable simple fitment into the existing heater hose line - see diagram of a typical installation. (Clamp hose temporarily at the point the KENLOWE Hotstart hoses connect to the vehicle hoses thus avoiding draining the system.) To complete installation connect the special mains plug to the appliance and the socket with spring loaded flap to a suitable extension lead. This purpose made plug fits in any convenient position shown in the diagrams below. Detailed instructions and all fittings for easy retrofit installation are included. The KENLOWE Hotstart may be easily transferred to a subsequent vehicle.
   

 
 
 

EASY TO USE
KENLOWE Hotstart incorporates a specially made plug which can be mounted discreetly above/below the bumper, behind the cab or anywhere convenient for use without even needing to lift the bonnet. Simply plug-in to the special socket provided for your extension lead and connect to a standard mains wall socket. The KENLOWE Hotstart may be switched on before the expected departure or, alternatively, use a mains appliance timer programmed for regular requirements. A built-in thermostat switches the appliance off when the metal of the engine block and the coolant reaches 85°C, if departure is delayed and the temperature drops the automatic sensor switches the pre-heater back on to repeat the cycle.

**In line with E.E.C. law we recommend you use an E.L.C.B. (earth leakage circuit breaker) with any A.C. appliance used out of doors.
*** Running KENLOWE Hotstart costs around 10 pence to pre-heat a typical engine assuming an ambient of 0°C and the 3000 watt model - a 10 amp 2300 watt model is available if your A.C. mains supply is limited.
