HIGH TECH. VACUUM BRAZED OIL RADIATORS
Kenlowe oil cooling systems feature high performance. vacuum braised, sandwich construction radiators with shallow cavity oil galleries for maximum performance. The surface tension of all the oil is carried in each gallery is in contact with a heat transfer surface. (Round tube oil coolers are ihherently inefficient by comparison because the majority of the oil carried in the core of the tube is not in contact with the heat transfer surface where it passes straight through without heat loss! - as a result they are physically larger which can cause significant obstruction to the engine's radiator resulting in the water overheating!

The standard Kenlowe cooler is 13 row to cover the vast majority of applications and the compact sandwich construction enables significant heat to air transfer with minimal obstruction to the cooling airflow needed for the main water radiator. The 13 row measures 4" (lOOmm) X 12" (3OOmm) X 2" (5Omm). Alternative radiator sizes are 10 row and 16 row with even higher stock systems available to order. Conversely the standard 12" (3OOmm) wide cooler stack is available in a narrower 8" (2OOmm) size to order.

RADIATOR LOCATION
For maximum heat exchange performance the compact Kenlowe vacuum brazed oil cooler is ideal placed in the intake airflow where it can enjoy the cold air first. However the cooler will still provide significant heat exchange performance if space is limited requiring the cooler to be mounted out of the airflow such as in the under bonnet, e.g. vertically to one side of the water radiator behind a headlight. the Kenlowe oil cooler is a high performance heat exchange radiator and it will still radiate heat away just like a domestic radiator does in a warm room!

When positioned in front of other radiators it is advisable to place it against the existing heat exchangers so that the hot exhaust air leaving the Kenlowe oil cooler passes through the other radiators with 'minimal' effect on the water temperature! (The 13 row Kenlowe oil cooler area is a small percentage of the much larger water radiator and the heated air passing through the water radiator will still be lower than the water temperature - as a result, the water will still transfer heat to the warm air as it passes through the water radiator!
